Ryan Beechler driving the #6 sprinter won the SST A-Main event Saturday night July 30 at Kennedale Speedway Park. Beechler started in the sixth spot and made his pass for the lead on lap seven after the restart caused by an incident between the #77 of Keith Sturgeon and #59 of Kenny Venable. Jeff Emerson in #35, on his first night racing with the SST series, was awarded a second place finish after the #99 of Mike Herring was disqualified at the scales. Herring’s DQ also moved Rodney Henderson in #67 to third. The next scheduled event for the SST is Saturday August 13 at Devil’s Bowl Speedway.

Beechler Wins At KSP
Thode Wins at 281 Speedway
Chris Thode driving the #42 won the SST A-Main event Saturday night July 16 at 281 Speedway near Stephenville. Thode took advantage of his pole starting position to lead every lap and win the race. This is the first win for Thode and marks the return of 281 Speedway to the SST schedule after several years away. Mike Herring driving the #99 Babe’s Chicken sponsored sprinter started seventh and finished in the second spot. Kenny Venable driving the #59 took third. The next scheduled SST event is July 30 at Kennedale Speedway Park.

We need SST Sprint cars to participate in a car show raceday, Saturday July 16, at 2pm at the Bosque River Center Mall on Hwy 377 (State Loop 195 E) in Stephenville. Approximately 8 miles from 281 Speedway. Go south about 4.5 miles on 281 past the Speedway, turn west on Washington Lane (State Loop 195) for about 3 miles to the Mall. George Wins at Boyd
Mike George driving the #20 won the SST Feature event at Boyd Raceway Friday night July 1st. George started the fireworks early as he moved quickly from his fourth starting spot into the second position behind early leader Kerry Rush in #91. A caution for the spin of #67 Rodney Henderson eliminated the distance between George and Rush with the #20 taking full advantage and shooting into the lead in the middle of turn two. George held off challenges from #44 Jason Howell who finished second and #4 Jerry Hammock who came from the back to finish third. The next SST event is scheduled for Saturday July 16 at 281 Speedway in Stephenville.
