Howell Wins At Boyd

Jason Howell driving the All Imports Auto Parts sponsored #44 won the SST A-Main event Friday night at Boyd Raceway. Howell started in the 9th spot and put on an exciting show as he worked his way toward the front. He made the pass for the lead on lap 18 after a running duel with Dustin Woods in car #05. They had both overtaken Gary Kelley in #12 who had lead the first 9 laps. Woods made several attempts to regain the lead but had to settle for second. Kelly came home in third. The next SST event is scheduled for Friday July 6 at Mountain Creek Speedway in Grand Prairie.

Summers Wins At Devil’s Bowl

Ricky Summers driving the Hooters Sponsored #71 won the SST A-Main event Saturday night at the Devil’s Bowl. Summers took advantage of his front row starting position to lead every lap. However, the finish was anything but certain. Russell Shoulders in the #29, who started five rows deep in the field, streaked into the second spot on lap five. He was on the rear bumper of Summers lap after lap but couldn’t overtake the leader. Dustin Woods driving the #05 was in the mix but had to settle for a third place finish.
