On Saturday November 20, the SST officials, drivers, and owners met at Smiley’s Racing Products store in Mesquite Texas to discuss the upcoming 2011 season schedule and draw for year end prizes. All competitors in the 2010 season were awarded tickets based on how many events they had attended. Corey Minor drew the lucky number and won the grand prize of a Triple X sprint chassis and body kit. Jason Howell was also presented his trophy for winning the season’s final event in Killeen. Cases of racing oil and front axles were also awarded in the drawing. We will post the upcoming event schedule as soon as dates and locations are locked in.

SST Meeting Notes
Mandatory Meeting for SST Participants
On Saturday November 20th a mandatory meeting for all SST participants will be held at 10am at Smiley’s Racing Products store in Mesquite, Texas. This meeting is for drivers, owners or their appointed representatives who participated in 2010 or who intend to participate in 2011. We will discuss the upcoming race schedule and draw for the Triple X chassis and body kit. For more details and to confirm your attendance check with Smiley at 214-331-4664.
Howell Wins at Killeen
Jason Howell driving the #44 won the final SST Feature event of the 2010 season Saturday night October 30th at Texas Thunder Speedway in Killeen. When the crowd scrambled back into the stands after the Halloween Trick or Treat in the infield, the stage was set for a great wrap-up event at the tight little bullring. Howell started six rows back in twelfth in the inverted field of 20 sprinters who transferred from the heats out of the original 25 cars making the trip. Howell held of a strong challenge in the late stages of the race from Jerry Hammock in #4 who started tail end of the field due to his yellow ribbon earned as the previous feature event winner to finish second. Chris Thode in #42 worked his way into the third spot from his seventh starting position. The 2011 schedule is already filling up with eager track promoters in the area wanting to take advantage of the popularity of the SST show.
RaceSaver at KSP Oct 2
Don’t miss Kennedale Speedway Park’s final RaceSaver sprint race of the season on Saturday October 2nd. All SST racers are invited to participate in this non-SST sanctioned event. All SST rules apply. Purse is $300 to win, $150 to start. We hope to have the remaining SST event schedule confirmed soon. Keep watching this site for updates.

Hammock Wins HOT 911 Event
Jerry Hammock driving the #4 Outlaw Driving School sponsored SST sprinter won his sixth feature event of the season Saturday night at Heart O’ Texas Speedway. Hot on his heals was the #44 of Jason Howell who finished second. Dustin Woods in the #05 captured the third spot. Hammock started 12th in the inverted field just behind Howell who started in the 10th position. Chris Thode who finished fourth in the #42 did a great job as early leader until getting caught behind slower traffic allowing Hammock to slip by on the high side late in the race. The next SST event is scheduled for Saturday September 25th at Lake Country Speedway in Ardmore OK.
Beechler Wins At Boyd
Ryan Beechler driving the #6 won the SST A-main event Friday night at Boyd Raceway. Beechler started in the 10th position and worked his way to the front past the early leader, Jon Freeman in the #2, after multiple cautions. Freeman would end up in third as Jerry Hammock in #4 made a late race pass for second. The next SST event is scheduled for Saturday September 11 at Heart O’ Texas Speedway near Waco.
Howell Wins At GP
Jason Howell driving the #44 won the SST main event Friday night at Outlaw Speedway in Grand Prairie. Howell started six rows deep in the inverted field of SST sprinters. Late in the race, Howell and Jerry Hammock in #4 who finished second, put on a spectacular battle for the lead. Hammock, who started in the last spot reserved for the previous events winner, worked his way to the lead but with just a handful of laps remaining Howell passed him in turn 4. Kenny Elwood in the #21 started in the fifth row and finished a strong third. Next weeks event is scheduled for Friday August 27 at Boyd Raceway.
Hammock wins at KSP
Jerry Hammock driving the Outlaw Driving School sponsored #4 won the SST feature event Saturday night at Kennedale Speedway Park. Hammock worked his way into the lead on lap 16 from his 12th place starting position. David Garland in #84 took the second spot with Brian Fielder in #69 rounding out the top three. It looked like Jon Freeman driving the #2, who started on the pole and lead the first 15 laps, would get the win until he came to a stop in the middle of turn one. The next SST event is scheduled for Friday August 20 at Grand Prairie Speedway.
